ARMA TU RUTINA DE LAVADO

CREATE YOUR WASHING ROUTINE

We all have a different routine depending on our needs, so we cannot say exactly which detergent or amount to use since many factors vary, such as the type of water, climate, number of diapers your baby uses, whether you will wash in a washing machine or by hand in a bucket with a plunger.

However, what we must agree on are the steps in your diaper washing routine. For attention:

1. Removal of solids, urine and PRE-RINSE

After removing the dirty diaper from your baby, separate the inserts from the pocket and store them in a ventilated basket.  to store them. I recommend that if you want to avoid stains, odors and the horrible AMMONIA, ALWAYS rinse the dirty diaper, whether it is pee or poop at the time.

But if due to lack of time it is not possible for you to pre-rinse, simply separate the pocket from the inserts at the time, collect all the dirty diapers of the day and at night do a # PRE-RINSE in the washing machine or bucket with a plunger with only water for all and let dry in the shade without residue and reserve a maximum of 2 days for the main wash day.

If you have enough diapers and want to wash every 3 to 5 days then you will need to do a # PREWASH, which is a PRERINSE but using half the amount of detergent you would use in your main wash.

2. MAIN WASH

Depending on the number of diapers to be washed, calculate the amount of biodegradable detergent according to what the manufacturer indicates.  Use the longest and heaviest wash cycle on your washing machine, at least 35-45 minutes. Because the absorbent inserts of this new generation of cloth diapers are made up of special layers and fabrics that necessarily need AGITATION to get clean, if we scrub and rub them in a washing machine, only the surface is removed, the diaper will be damaged, wearing out the diaper. the fabrics and in the future there will be problems with odors, chafing, etc.

You do not need to use a lot of detergent when washing, since diapers are washed with AGITATION and excess detergent will cause irritation or chafing on the baby's skin.

With a plunger you measure the time according to how powerful your arm is, approximately 200 pumps for a pre-rinse and 300 for a main wash.

3.- RINSE AND DRY

Rinse 1-2 times as needed.

Tend to dry in the sun covered for 1 hour maximum since more time can damage the pull and the inserts leave them until they are completely dry including their inner layers.

Your routine should adapt to your time and needs, not the other way around.

«REMEMBER DIAPERING IS TRIAL AND ERROR»

If your washing routine was incorrect and caused bad odors, leaks or the terrible ammonia, don't worry, it's part of the process, you'll just need to do a deep wash.  with @hei mx before continuing to use your diapers and correct your washing routine.
