Como realizar Lavado Profundo Y Desinfección (LPYD) con hei!®

How to perform Deep Wash and Disinfection (LPYD) with hei!®

One of the most frequently asked questions I get is, what product is best for deep cleaning and/or disinfecting my diapers?

The best one is the one that is easiest for you to find, the one that gives you the best cost/benefit and the one that is easy for you to use.

The process to follow is practically the same with all of them. Only the amount of product used will change, in the case of concentrated products a very small amount is dosed, for example with HEI MX
Only 3 grams are used for each kilo of clothing or diapers to be treated or the equivalent of 5 diapers with their 2 inserts, the process is very easy and without the need to use hot water.

How to perform LPYD with hei!®

1.- DOSE:
Only 3 grams of hei!® are needed for each kilo to be treated (5 diapers). Soak the diapers for 90 minutes, either directly in the washing machine or in a bucket using cold or warm water (it is optional, you can also move them every 20-30 minutes so that they are all well impregnated with hei!®).

2.- WASHING and RINSING:
Washing starts after about 40-50 minutes on the strongest cycle. Rinse 2 to 3 times as needed.

TIP: Checking the water between each rinse will help you know how bad your diapers were. If you have hard water, do a maximum of 3 rinses and try to recycle it!

3.- DRYING:

Allow the covers to dry for a few minutes directly in the sun and then leave them in the shade for 1 hour maximum. Leave the inserts in the sun until they dry, this will remove stains naturally. 🍋 .

For persistent problems you can repeat the process. Since performing LPYD with hei! ® will not damage your diapers, since its formula is organic. 🍋 and biodegradable. Some of its ingredients are already included in some detergents.  ‼️ What can damage them or reduce their useful life is the constant use of hot water, so any products you use as "maintenance or preventive" should be used with cold water. 💦

If you have a good washing routine, there will be no need to perform any maintenance process, it is not necessary to spend money, products, or extra water, unless it is for second pumps where it is mandatory.

⚠️ The most important thing is that after performing your LPYD corrective treatment you should analyze and correct your routine so that the problems do not return, remember "DIAPERING IS TRIAL AND ERROR" and ammonia is an accumulation of urea, usually caused by a poor storage and washing process.
