Cual es el mejor Lavado Profundo y Desinfección de pañales.

What is the best Deep Wash and Disinfection for diapers?

I hope you never have to follow these instructions!

But, if you are given second-hand diapers or if you have been washing your diapers with hard water for a while without using softeners, the minerals get trapped in the fabric and, due to accumulation, generate bacteria 🦠, starting problems such as the dreaded ammonia... or if your diapers cause chafing, leaks or bad odors!

It is important to remember that cloth diapers should NOT smell bad, NEVER! There should also be no urine leaks. If the inserts do not come out soaked when changing the diaper, they are probably clogged. In these cases, we should do a deep wash and disinfection (LPYD).

What product is best for deep cleaning and disinfecting my diapers?

The best one is the one that is easiest for you to find, the one that gives you the best cost/benefit and the one that is easy for you to use.

The process to follow is practically the same with all of them. Only the soaking time and the amount of product to be used will change, since in the case of concentrated products very little is dosed, we will make an example with hei!®

Only 3 grams of are used hei!® for every kilo of clothing or diapers to be treated or the equivalent of 5 diapers with their 2 inserts, the treatment is 2 in 1 since it cleans thoroughly and disinfects (LPYD) in a single step, and is also very easy to use without the need to use hot water.

How to perform LYPD with hei!®?

1.- DOSE:

Only 3 grams of hei!® are needed for each kilo to be treated (5 diapers). Soak the previously clean diapers for 90 minutes. You can do this directly in the washing machine or, to save water and have greater control, soak them in a tub or bucket 🪣 using water 💧at room temperature or warm. It is optional, but you can move them every 20-30 minutes so that the ones on the bottom stay on top and make sure that they are all well impregnated with the hei!® treatment.

2.- WASHING and RINSING:

Washing starts after about 40-50 minutes on the strongest cycle. Rinse 2 to 3 times as needed.

TIP: Checking the water between each rinse will help you know how bad your diapers were, if you have hard water, do a maximum of 3 rinses.  and try to recycle it!

3.- DRYING:

Let the covers dry in direct sunlight for a few minutes and then place them in the shade for a maximum of 1 hour. Leave the inserts in the sun until they dry, which will remove stains naturally 🍋 .

For persistent problems you can repeat the process.

Carry out  LPYD with hei!® will not harm your  diapers, since their formula is organic 🍋 and biodegradable and some of their ingredients are already included in some detergents. ‼️ What can damage them  or reduce its useful life, is the constant use of hot water, so the products you choose to use for maintenance or preventive washing use cold water. 💦

If you have a good washing routine, there will be no need to perform any maintenance process, it is not necessary to spend money, products, or extra water, unless it is for second pumps where it is mandatory.

⚠️ The most important thing is that after making your  corrective treatment of  LPYD  You should analyze and correct your routine so that the problems do not return, remember "DIAPERING IS TRIAL AND ERROR" and ammonia is an accumulation of urea, usually caused by a poor storage and washing process.
